edTPA Solutions to Common Problems

1. Shotcut creates files as  .MLT  format instead of the video file type I want.
2. The videos I have created play fine in Shotcut, but not in one or more other programs on my computer.
3. Shotcut freezes or starts-and-stops when I try to edit my video.
4. When played on certain platforms/devices/players, my video is rotated 90º or 180º from where it should be.
5. I am either unable to copy my video up to the edTPA video web site or the upload process is very slow.
6. The size of my file exceeds the maximum allowable upload limit for the site where I am supposed to post my edTPA video(s).
7. My video is not in one of the allowable file formats that may be uploaded to the edTPA video web site.
8. I have a DVD containing my video, and I don't know how to edit it in Shotcut.
9. My camera/phone/tablet created multiple (sequential) videos that I need to combine into one single file before I can perform any editing.
10. When I play my video, the audio volume is much lower than that of other clips.
11. I am having difficulty finding the download link for the version of Shotcut that will run on my computer.
12. While exporting my videos, I see a slightly different  Jobs  panel than the one pictured in the training materials on this site.
13. When I try to open my video in Shotcut, I encounter the " Convert to Edit-friendly " window, and don't know what to do.
14. I have a  relatively stationary  element in the video frame (i.e., face, writing, etc.) that I need to hide.

16. I need to transfer videos from my phone/tablet/camera to a PC or Mac in order to be able to edit them in Shotcut.
