Requirements

This program is appropriate for individuals with full-time student affairs or student leadership experience who wish to fill the role of administrator, advisor, programmer, or educator in student affairs or higher education administration.

Program Requirements

There are three ways students can earn the CSPA Master of Science degree:

42 credit hours of course work with a capstone seminar (traditional program that most students take)
36 credit hours of course work plus a comprehensive examination (designed for part-time students)
36 credit hours of course work plus a thesis

EAF 464 Practicum Request - must complete prior to taking EAF 464 Practicum in Student Personnel Administration
Degree Audit - must complete the semester before graduation
Graduate Independent Study - to be filled out if you are taking an independent study course with a professor

Technology Requirements

To successfully complete Educational Administration and Foundations courses, students in all programs are expected to have frequent and convenient access to a computer and electronic resources. Illinois State University students can take advantage of special hardware and software pricing as well as installation support at ISU TechZone.
