SAGA is a Registered Student Organization (RSO) for all students enrolled in the CSPA program at Illinois State University. The organization provides its members with professional development and social opportunities, helps foster a sense of community among its members, and assists in their preparation for working in the field of student affairs.
Previous activities have included an orientation program for first-year students, a welcome potluck, hiking at Starved Rock, Cosmic Bowling, a Thanksgiving Potluck, and numerous luncheons.
SAGA is also planning a number of professional development activities. One of the programs, Student Affairs 101, is a day-long drive in conference that invites undergraduates from throughout Illinois to gain an understanding of the student affairs profession and the process for applying to graduate schools.
