Superintendent Endorsement

Superintendent endorsement on a Professional Educator License may be obtained within the post-master's endorsement program or within the doctoral program.

The program is designed for Illinois educators interested in advanced study and preparation in the leadership, organization, and administration of public school districts in Illinois. Candidates should hold a master's degree, P-12 leadership experience, and principal endorsement (formerly known as the Type 75 certificate).

Goals and Outcomes

A P-12 Superintendent graduate in Educational Administration at Illinois State University applies knowledge that promotes the success of every student through coursework that is aligned with the NPBEA 2011 ELCC District Level Educational Leadership Standards.
